Seth Sarana celebrates its 22nd Anniversary The Social Action Arm of the Archdiocese was christened by Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith on 15th August 1986 as “Seth Sarana”:. ;It completed 22 years of existence on 15th August 2008. This day “The Seth Sarana Day” was celebrated in a grand scale with Holy Mass followed by a spate of events. The concelebrated Mass was attended by all staff of Seth Sarana at which the Chief Celebrant was Rev Fr Neville Joe, National Coordinator(CEI) Italy.Rev Fr,Damian Fernando. National Director SEDEC/Caritas Sri Lanka, was the Chief Guest on this occasion. An Art Exhibition based on Peace took place in the hall of Joseph Vaz Centre immediately after Mass. Mid Year Scholarships of Colombo District students were awarded by Fr Damian Fernando and PMS Certificates were awarded to those qualified by Guests of Honour. Very Rev Fr Marcus Ferdinandez, Episcopal Vicar- Eastern Region and Aposstolate, Rev Fr Jude Raj Fernando, Director Seth Sarana and many other priests were in attendance.
