Seth Sarana Lenten Pilgrimage 2008 The Seth Sarana Lenten Pilgrimage is scheduled to take place at Tewatta , Ragama on the 3rd Sunday in Lent which is the 24the of February . The pilgrims will gather at the Basilica and will proceed in procession setting off at 8.45 am to the first station of the Cross and commence the Way of the Cross at 9.00 am . The Way of the Cross will end at the Basilica with Holy Mass at 11.00 am. We are expecting about 2500 pilgrims made up of the entire Staff of Seth Sarana and their Families. Animators for Empowerment programme and their collaborators Tsunami Rehabilitation Programme. Social Development Income Generation and Livelihood Programmes and some other collaborators of Seth Sarana . The Way of the Cross will be preached by Rev. Fr. Sriyananda Fernando while Rev.Fr. Marcus Fernandez, Episcopal Vicar for the East Region and Vicar in Charge of the Apostolate will be the chief celebrant of the Mass. A special feature of the Mass will be the offering of collection tills from collaborators groups at the offertory. More than 340 Tills have been given to our groups and teams for this purpose.
