SETH SARANA NEW YEAR CELEBRATION >>>

LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMME   -  SINHALA  &  TAMIL  NEW YEAR  CELEBRATIONS IN  THREE  DISTRICTS  IN  WESTERN  PROVINCE 

The Tsunami affected  families belonged to Seth Sarana  Livelihood Programme celebrated  Sinhala & Tamil New Year   very joyfully  after three years.The New Year programme in Kaluthara District was held  in  Grace Kumari  Play ground in Kalamulla.  The two programmes in Colombo District  was held in Moratuwa Club Grounds  and in Muthuwella  Play  Ground  in Mutuwal.  The Gampaha District New year programme was held in  St.Sebastian  Maha Vidyalya  play ground  in Sea Street, Negombo. 

There were so  many  interesting events  Selecting Awurudu Kumari  among the Group Members, Fancy Dress Paaede , Tug of  war,   Relays , Rubban Playing ,Jana Kavi & Folk Dances.Rev. Fr . Jude Raj Fernando the Director Seth Sarana , Rev.Fr. Lawrence Ramanayakethe Asst. Director  of Seth Sarana   and  Mr. Danielle  Lodola  the Advisor of the Livelihood Project were the  invited Chief Guests  in  these  events.

The  Seth Sarana  livelihood  programme was started soon after tsunami in order to help the  physically & mentally  affected people  who  were socially & economically depress The  affected people were been divided into small groups  in order to meet their immediate  needs  and to take them a long way to  sustainability.There are   about   230  small groups  belonged to Sethsarana Livelihood  programme, with the 2500 active members.Seth Sarana  Caritas-Colombo  wish   allthese  group members   once  again  a  happyand  prosperous  New Year.
