SETH SARANA

Seth Sarana  is the Social Action Arm of the   Archdiocese of Colombo which covers the same area as the Western Province, comprised of the three Administrative  Districts of Gampaha in  the North, Kalutara in the South and Colombo in the Middle.

VISION/GOAL

Realization of a  Just Sri Lanka Society based on Gospel values of Love, Forgiveness, Peace, Unity, and  Equality; lived, promoted and  protected irrespective of  ethnicity, community or religion.

OUR MISSION

To focus our Vision  towards the  Mission of the  Church by achieving  the  Integral Human Development  of the  marginalized, exploited and the neglected, irrespective of Ethnicity, community, Race or Creed  through people-centered Development  processes  aimed at  leading them towards a self reliant, full and  abundant lives based  on Christian values  of love, care, concern and commitment, bearing witness to Jesus.

OBJECTIVES

To create conditions to  awaken and animate people      with a special focus on youth and children to  achieve their full potential to have  full and abundant lives.

To  build awareness regarding the Spiritual, Social, Economic, Political and  Cultural realities at all  levels.

To facilitate  people to discover  their own problems and provide education  which empowers them to plan and  implement action to out problem themselves 

To  Promote  self confidence  and form people  to be agents of change in their own  community.
